PoultryBookstore.com was established to offer “How To Raise Chickens”  and acquaint the chicken-loving public with the Society for the Preservation of Poultry Antiquities. Over time, we plan to add more merchandise.

We’re excited about poultry of all kinds. Poultry history and poultry’s appearance in literature help us understand what life was like at other times and in other cultures. Nearly every human culture has had some kind of domestic poultry. Chickens, ducks, geese, swans, turkeys, guineas, peafowl and other fowl are familiar in myths and stories of all kinds.

We’re interested in knowing about innovative chicken products that are helping you raise your small flock, publications and resources that helped you get started and overcome obstacles. Beautiful things, from art books to porcelain figures, feed our aesthetic side. Historic documents and publications deserve to serve a wider audience and be preserved.
